There are three main advances available to Universal Credit claimants.

 

These are:

• New Claim Advance

• Budgeting Advance

• Change of Circumstances Advance

 

All advances from Universal Credit are interest free and are usually paid into your bank within 3 working days.

It's important to know that these advances are discretionary and if rejected, you can ask for the decision to be looked at again but you have no rights to appeal.
